If you have seat heaters, check them also, while you have it out. You can check the entire unit's motion, on the workbench, connecting 12V to the seat power connector. If you find broken parts, carefully weld back together, using some additional bracing, noting motion between mount parts, so you don't end up with a mechanical jam. Take a few photos of the thing before you disassemble, so you can put wires back in same position, labeling the heater connectors (if present) Once seat is out, separate back from base at the inner side pivot joint (notice spacer) and the outer back mounting bolts, then de-route the back heater connectors/wiring.
